Pens and minds once again became one  as the UP Journalism Club geared up to carry out its flagship activity through the Campus Journalism Workshop (CJW) Training held on July 10 at the Beltran News Room, College of Mass Communication.

The training, made possible by the Academic Committee, aimed to properly equip the members in News Writing, Feature Writing, Sports Writing, Opinion Writing, Copyediting, Ethics, Layout/Design and Digital Media/Career Opportunities for the upcoming CJWs this academic year.

Lecturers included alumni John Antiquerra, Billie Bautista, Ma. Ernicai de Guzman, Jean Natividad Angelo Reyes and Edmark San Antonio.

This year marks UPJC’s 15th year of imparting knowledge regarding professional and ethical journalism as well as developing critical thought and action among high school students through the CJW.
