Here are the winners of Dokyuskul 2011, a documentary-making contest for high school students in the metro organized by the UP Journalism Club.

 

First place: Likhang Hinirang, a documentary by Quennie Aquirre, Kariza Ines and Leslie Morin from Quezon City Science High School. It talks about the current state of high school research projects and what happens to them after winning in competitions.

 

 

Second place: Anak ng EDSA by Melvin Macapinlac, Shannen Anne Varquez, and Kathryn Grace Mapacpac from Quezon City Science High School. The documentary explores the lives of the youth today.

 

 

Third place: Gabay, a documentary by Louise Limpin, Iris Salonga, and Nicole Ramirez from Quezon City Science High School. The owners requested for the video not to be posted.

 

Fourth place: Bentang Kalye by Benedict John Azucena, Albert Paolo Bugayong, and Juan Paolo Doroja from Quezon City Science High School. It tackles the issue of street-vending in the metro.

 

 

Fifth place: Buhay Kalsada by Lester James Miranda, Charles Jason Ramos and Kimberly Anne ServaƱa from Quezon City Science High School. The documentary shows the lives of people living in the streets.
