Rain or Shine: Calling for an End to Impunity
Two years since 58 people, including 32 media workers, were killed in Ampatuan, Maguindanao, the case is still far from closed.
Dubbed by the International Freedom of Exhange Foundation as the “International Day to End Impunity”, November 23 has become part of a bitter collective memory with chilling implications. Despite the unusually fleeting weather, students, teachers, and staff from the UP College of Mass Communication and other schools, media organizations and advocates, and human rights activists marched to Mendiola to call for an end to the “culture of impunity”.
